Positions 7v7
Striker- Responsible for the entire offensive field. Goes anywhere the ball is on the offensive side of the field. Shadows ball while ball is on defensive side of field. Takes all corner kicks. Does not cross half field to play defense.
Center Midfielder- The most coveted position. Responsible for the entire field. Will run the most. Goes anywhere the ball is on the field. Plays offense and defense. Will rotate often. Takes all restart kicks, direct and indirect.
Right Midfielder- Responsible for the right half of the field, both offense and defense. Pulls to middle to prepare for scoring when ball is on left side of the offensive field. Pulls to middle to guard goal when ball is on left side of the defensive field. Takes all throw ins on right side of field.
Left Defender- Responsible for the left half of the defensive field. Pulls to the middle to guard goal when ball is on right side of the defensive field. Takes all goal kicks on left side of field. Does not cross half field to play offense.
Right Defender- Responsible for the right half of the defensive field. Pulls to the middle to guard goal when ball is on left side of the defensive field. Takes all goal kicks on right side of field. Does not cross half field to play offense.
Keeper- The coach on the field. Responsible for protecting entire goal. Will tell players on field where to go and what to do when ball is on defensive side of the field if needed. Responsible for initiating counterattack “Fire”. Will pull and play offense if needed to add another striker if down goals late.
